Working on the star of The PEOPLE Vs NATURE: Jerom (Jer-um). Taking a long time to figure out the interior mechanisms (blinking/lip curls and mouth articulation). Using thermal plastic and plastic threads to pull facial features up and down. I need to shift to building his full body; this will be essential for workshopping the show with a crew of puppeteers (hopefully this summer).
Jerom will use both sign language (his fingers will all need to articulate) as well as verbally speak; he learned English while in the lab all those long years--- just as many prisoners craft expansive educations for themselves inside their claustrophobic cells.
